THE INAUGURAL MEDIA NOIRE SCHOLARSHIP BRUNCH IS HAPPENING IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

Jacksonville, Florida, March 18th, 2024 — The community of Jacksonville is invited to join hands in support of education and empowerment at the Scholarship Brunch hosted by The Northeast Florida chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, aka NABJ. Set to take place on April 27th, 2024, at Breezy's Jazz House, this event promises to be an afternoon of celebration and commitment to supporting the future media professionals in the tri-counties: Duval, St. Johns, and Clay.

The Scholarship Brunch aims to reward deserving students pursuing higher education. By providing financial support, we hope to alleviate the burden of educational expenses and enable these bright minds to focus on their academic journey and personal growth.

"We are excited and ready for this fundraising event to network with our members, sponsors, college students and friends," says Lynn Jones-Turpin, President of Northeast Florida chapter. “Media professionals in Jacksonville, get ready for a day party that is eclectic, empowering, and showcases the recognition of our peers.”

Guests can look forward to a delightful afternoon filled with live music, a brunch menu, and inspiring stories from scholarship recipients who have benefited from the community's generosity. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals who share a passion for media and social progress.
